Foursquare Tips

  • The drinks menu has a basics vibe, but dont let that stop you from asking a bartender to whip up something original for you. Patrons forget that The Wellesbourne has a skilled and creative bar staff.
  • Out late on a school nite
  • order the "norito," drink. A hidden Wellesbourne drink- Its fairly cheap and taste like yummy applepie w/a dash of cinnamon!
  • TheWellesbournes main attraction is its 30-foot bar, which spans its stunning library, a cool game room (shuffleboard, anyone?) and cozy living room.
  • Takes about an hour to get a drink, even on a slow night.
  • Live music is great - current samples and a great DJ in the off time. Awesome RnB tunes! Way too loud for a date, though. Drinks are so so and they so offer $4 valet parking.
  • Their old fashioneds are delish.
  • Horrible service. Will never come here again
  • A dark-paneled bar tucked into an unlikely corner of West L.A., the Wellesbourne features craft cocktails and a lively yet laid-back scene of after-work drinkers and cocktail aficionados alike.
  • The first 2 parking spots outside turn into passenger loading zones after 7pm. Takes a bit to see it on the meter's scrolling message, but it is legit if they tell you you can't park in the first 2.
  • Service is SLOW, so you might want to be finishing yours while you wait at the bar for a refill, but they make a first-rate vodka gimlet. Park at Westside Pavilions garage across the street for free.
  • Good times!!!!
  • I finally got to visit The Wellesbourne last night. It exceeded my expectations and is now my new L.A. fave! Try the Cucumber Mint Martini and the Blackberry Gimlet with a flaming orange garnish. Wow!
  • Cool bar to hang. Different areas to have a drink with friends. #@ the bar #Fireplace #Pico
  • You can't help feeling a bit like Harry Potter as you sip on one of their delightful libations while sitting next to the roaring fireplace sipping on a Brandy Alexander.
  • Col Mustard, with the candlestick, in the library.
  • One of my favorite bars on the west side. All the bar tenders are knowledgeable and the drinks are made to perfection.
  • Nicer bar with a cool atmosphere!
  • DJ Moses on Fri nights play pretty sweet 90s beats
  • Keep it classy. Old mahogany feel with large leather chairs and great mixologists. Sit by the fire and ponder life w your friends as you sip down an Old Fashioned. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu)
