Foursquare Tips

  • Favorite local bar. Kind of like being in someone's basement.
  • Come here to make out.
  • Keith Ward
  • Winner of Best People-Watching Bar in the Village Voice 2011 Best Of issue! The outdoor tables and strong Bloody Marys make conversation easy.
  • Decent old fashioned.
  • Best late night bar in Carroll Gardens. No matter what night of the week, you'll always find a crowd. Outside seating when it's warm and tons of board games in the back.
  • Try the Lagunitas - Really starting to like what this brewery is producing.
  • Very chill, cool bar. Food is good and they have a nice selection of beers. Doesn't hurt that my best friend lives across the street.
  • If you're at Abilene, don't listen to Devin W. This place rocks, he's just bitter.
  • No bloodies after six!
  • More hot sauce.
  • get there around 5-6 PM on Sunday afternoon right after a movie and sit outside in Spring and Summer to do some people watching while drinking a wheat beer
  • ask keith about jay schneider or dot peterson
  • mayfield mule - jim beam rye, fresh lemon juice, ginger beer
  • Great brunch with grits and cornbread!
  • Great bathroom graffiti. Look out for the *old school* Foursquare sticker in the men's room. I think I may have actually put that there in 2009.
  • Solid beer selection. $6 a pint.
  • Plenty of seating, street-facing bar tables, and convenience to in-demand fine dining spots keep this Court Street standard packed from happy hour until the wee hours.
  • Good beer selection and awesome deep fried pickles. Nom!
  • Cobb salad is a solid choice but don't sleep on the buffalo chicken sandwich.
