Foursquare Tips

  • The only way to make this little place more a snap-shot of Portland would be to 'Put A Bird On It'. Old school country & unique hand-crafted coffee makes this hard to find gem worth the journey.
  • Great coffee and biscuits but avoid the lunch and breakfast rush or you'll be waiting for over 30 minutes. Also, here's the menu - there is only one copy anywhere right beside the cash register
  • The sausage biscuit with peach jam. Wow!
  • The new password is: rocketship
  • They've updated their wifi password to: rocketship.
  • Cold Brew coffee is the best. Don't even fool with cream & sugar, it's that good.
  • This place is a Brooklyn wet dream.
  • Lots of beards here.... The padded bras of masculinity
  • Only 3 small tables have access to power outlets! :) No decaf coffee! :)
  • Barista Parlor uses beans from a variety of roasters in a variety of brewing methods. Accompanying the coffees are plenty of eats like housemade biscuits, sandwiches and a bourbon buttermilk waffle.
  • New wifi password: rocketship
  • Try the Peach Pastry - I was going to take a pic if this but I ate it! - it was awesome
  • The fresh Peaches they sell here are amazing! 2 bags of peaches for $12.
  • Possibly the best biscuit I've ever had.
  • Hillwilliam culture is alive and well here. Great coffee, mountain music, beans from Stumptown, Sightglass, Intelligentsia, Counter Culture. Easily worth the short drive across the river.
  • Coffee's great, but I will pass on the $9 chocolate bars, thanks.
  • The marketing vid for one of my favorite Mac apps - Desk - was shot here. Check it out at
  • Cortados are amazing
  • The biscuit sandwiches are amazing.
  • Everyone talks about how hipster-y pinewood social is but THIS place is the worst. At least pinewood has many redeeming qualities. Why do people go here? Long wait, inferior product, huge cost.
