They know their wine menu exceptionally well. Just tell them what kind of taste you're after, and they'll do the rest.

Cathy Whims, chef of Nostrana, eats here on her nights off. She loves the Agnolotti of foie gras.

The best place to eat and drink at Bar Avignon is perched at the bar, where you'll get a ringside view of the kitchen.

Phenomenal foie gras agnolotti with pears. The liquified foie bursts in your mouth. Just amazing...

A prost: to witchcraft.
Great mussles. Icy attitude from server. You can buy the yummy honey they serve with their cheese, and I recommend you do. I think they gave me the wrong glass of wine, but the ambiance and crowd=good
This is what every cliched European wine bar strives to be, complete with sprawling wine list, locally inspired (and constantly rotating) menu, and killer mussels. [Eater 38 Member]

Try the Bar Avignon Lemon Drop. There's a reason it's their signature drink. The touch of lavender-infused honey rounds out the edges for the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Just. try. it. Really.
