The Hawthorne Bar in Boston is overseen by award-winning mixologist Jackson Cannon and is a leader in the craft cocktail movement. Ethereal in color and in taste, this handsome cocktail does indeed attract attention. This adaptation of the Prohibition-era classic is a favorite of Seattle barman Jamie Boudreau.

Ingredients
- 2 ounce tanqueray gin
- 3/4 ounce dolin vermouth
- 1 barspoon absinthe
- 1 barspoon crème de violette
- 2 dashes orange bitters
Directions
- Mount all ingredients in a mixing glass and stir. Strain into a coupe glass and serve in a coupe glass. Garnish with an in and out lemon twist.
