April Bloomfield Embarks On Delicious Book Tour

Celebrity chef April Bloomfield, famous for her restaurant trifecta The Spotted Pig, The Breslin, and The John Dory, is headed on a nationwide book tour in which she will cook with the best chefs from Charleston, Chicago, Portland, San Francisco, and Seattle while promoting her new cookbook A Girl and Her Pig throughout the month of July.

Bloomfield sets out for the first stop on her journey, Charleston, on July 7, where she will team up with Sean Brock, the executive chef of Husk Restaurant. The duo will feast on Brock's lamb roast and Bloomfield's sides while sipping drinks from The Gin Joint at the Heirloom Book Company.

Next on the itinerary for Bloomfield is Chicago on July 15 where she will convene with chef Paul Virant, Bruce Sherman and Paul Kahan to prepare a dinner at Perennial Virant.

Next, Bloomfield will hop over to Portland on July 18 to visit chef Jenn Louis at Lincoln Restaurant. There, she'll continue to promote her carnivorous cookbook while teaming up with Louis to prepare another dinner.

A Girl and Her Pig features meat recipes including classic British pub fare like beef and bayley hazen pie and whole suckling pig.

Bloomfield will visit the West Coast, stopping next in Seattle on July 20. There, she'll cook dinner with chef Matt Dillon at his restaurant, The Corson Building.

San Francisco marks the end of her interactive cookbook tour, as she plans to rendezvous with chef Russell Moore at Camino Restaurant in Oakland.
