Ingredients: 6 apples, pink lady 3/4 cup brown sugar  1/3 flour 1/3 cup almond paste, crumbled 3 Tbsp candied ginger 1 tsp chipotle chili powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 stick butter 1/4 cup maple syrup Method: Core, peel apples. Slice across 1/4 inch thick. Mix with 1/2 cup brown sugar, chili powder salt, ginger and 1/4 slice of butter. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Add maple syrup. Then mix the flour, cold butter coarsely. Then add almond paste and 1/4 cup  brown sugar. Sprinkle evenly over apples and bake at 350 degrees F oven for about 45 minutes or until the apples are tender.
