With only a few more weeks to go until Thanksgiving, plans are already being set into motion and preparations are well underway. Even rock star chefs like Anne Burrell, whose signature hairstyle is now tinted a lovely pinkish hue, are already planning out what they want to do for their holiday.

"I am going to a girlfriend's house in Connecticut," the chef told us. "My friend's mom is a really great cook, she kind of doles out jobs, so I'll just wait to see what I get assigned... I don't have any favorite [Thanksgiving dishes] to make. I do fancy myself quite a good mashed potato maker," she said.

It'll be nice for the chef to get a break — after all, she just launched a new cookbook called Own Your Kitchen, a guide on how to cook off the cuff with ease. Plus, the star of Chef Wanted is preparing to start working on her other hit  show with colleague Bobby Flay, Worst Cooks in America, in as little as two weeks.

While the chef may get to kick her feet up a little bit this holiday season, that doesn't mean she isn't going to put her palate to work.

"I always like to compose the perfect bite of turkey, stuffing, gravy, and mashed potatoes. Like, every bite has to be like that."
