Foursquare Tips

  • Some favorites from our review: Doro tibs (chicken dish) and vegan atakilt. Ethiopians traditionally have coffee after meals so stick around and try a rich coffee offering!
  • Get the doro wot and a nice, cold Tusker.
  • Addis Red Sea Combo for two ... all the bases are covered. A complete Ethiopian experience.
  • Try the best Ethiopian food around. Addis tops anything else in Boston, and beats out NYC and DC, as well.
  • Order veg combos, instead of a separate dish. The food is really good but they sometimes don't accept credit/debit cards. Cash becomes a hustle. Check with them before you place an order.
  • A unique meal experience. Great for sharing!
  • Meat Sambusa to start and beef stew for main
  • Delicious ethiopian food, excellent service and inexpensive - love it!
  • try the Axum homey wine.
  • I've eaten a lot of Ethiopian food both in Ethiopia, in DC and in other cities and it simply did not compare. The food, including the injera, just simply did not have its authentic taste.
  • They have enough variety for vegetarians too. I would like the dishes to be served hotter than now.
  • --I recommend the Kitfo for beginners.Enjoy the beautiful seating.
  • Memorable place for me and an old lady friend.Service is prompt and helpful for first timers trying Ethiopian food. The dishes are fantastic and the places layout and ambience are soothing and exotic.-
  • Super fun with friends! Spicy chicken is very spicy though
  • Shuro Wot, Yemisir wot, Lentil Sambusa
  • Ask for the spicy food if you like it, and you will not be disappointed
  • One of the best places in Boston for amazing food. Try taking a date here :)
  • Everything was so good. Definitely get the combination if it's your first time here. You get to try a little bit of everything so next time you come here, you know what to get!
  • Sambrusas are great to startsnd share (two portions). The Addis Red Sea Combo for two is amazing! Ask for the traditional Ethiopian sour bread (tef). 10 times better!!!
  • 5 dollars extra charge for gluten-free injera bread
