Foursquare Tips

  • Hike to the top of Cadillac mountain early in the morning and watch the sun rise over the ocean. You'll also be the first in the nation to see the sun's rays.

  • If you are going to hike one mountain, go for Beehive. It is one of the most unique hikes you will ever do and it is right next to Sand Beach

  • Start at the visitor's center and pick up a car pass for $20. For a challenging hike we did the bubble divide trail to Deer Brooke to the Penobscot summit which is almost 1200 ft high.

  • Watch out for bears and coyotes which are sighted on a semi-regular basis, while moose and bobcats are rare but occasional camp-mates.
