Recipe of the day
If you’re looking to heat things up in the kitchen, try adding some serious spice — and we’re talking about chicken recipes here. Incorporating spicy, bold flavors into otherwise plain chicken recipes adds loads of flavor. Not to mention, it also mixes up the recipe routine and celebrates different cultural (and spicy) cuisines. So, next time you reach for a package of chicken, add some fiery heat by slapping on the spice.
Chicken is one of the most popular ingredients for dinner — and that means, after a while, you can run out of ways to prepare it. We’ve added salt and pepper, poultry seasoning, and maybe even tried a sprinkling of cayenne. But to really make the most out of chicken, it’s all about the spice — and lots of it.
To get the spice just right, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite spicy chicken recipes with international flare. Marinade chicken in a spicy ginger and red pepper-orange glaze, add warm curry flavors to yogurt-based chicken marinades, or use bold Southwestern flavors. Chili powder adds spice to crispy fried chicken and a hot-sauce-based barbecue sauce can heat up grilled chicken.
By incorporating a few simple and spicy ingredients to basic marinades and recipes, chicken takes on new bold and spicy flavors. So, kick things up a notch, take a cue from our recipes, and add some heat to your next poultry dish.
