This week, the Cook editors at The Daily Meal wanted to showcase pork. We put the Culinary Content Network and our staff to the test to come up with tasty pork recipes that are anything but boring. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Carly Goldsmith, the Copy editor at The Daily Meal, made slow-cooker pork carnitas tacos, which were melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
  • Anne Newsome from The Saturday Evening Pot created a Southwestern Smoked Pork Stew, which is perfect for the chilly weather approaching. Anne is a member of the Culinary Content Network.
  • Out winner this week is Christine Carlisle's from Chew Nibble Nosh Braised Pork Shoulder with Warm Spices. We love the idea of cooking with warming spices for the fall season. Christine is a member of the Culinary Content Network.

All of the recipes featured can be made at home for about $30 or less, excluding the cost of small amounts of basic ingredients such as butter, oil, flour, sugar, salt, pepper, and other dried herbs and spices.
