We’ve already taught you how to be a fabulous host or hostess by showing you which party fouls to avoid as an entertainer, but do you have what it takes to be a great guest?
Don’t Show Up Empty-Handed
Whether you bring a bottle of wine or a bouquet of flowers, showing up with a small gift is just good manners.
Don’t Be Super Late
Fashionably late is one thing, but if you’re going to a dinner party or an intimate gathering, being late with no notice is very, very rude.
Don’t Double Dip
Come on. The host or hostess put out small plates for a reason. Spoon some onto your plate and enjoy more delicious dip that way!
Don’t Bring an Unannounced Guest
Especially if it is an intimate party, any additional guests you’d like to bring along need to be approved by the host.
Don’t Drink Too Much
Getting a little buzzed is fine, but you don’t want to be a sloppy mess at your friend’s party!
