When three-time Olympic gold medalist Misty May-Treanor is not on the sand bumping, setting, and spiking her way to victory, she likes to indulge in Southern California fare.

While she admits she spends more time eating in than dining out, she still has some local favorites.

"I like cooking so I never eat out much," said May-Treanor.

May-Treanor and her teammate Kerri Walsh won a third gold medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games, adding to their gold medals in beach volleyball from the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games. No doubt, May-Treanor may soon be headed to one of her favorite hometown restaurants for a victory dinner.

Breakfast: May-Treanor likes to eat at Scooner or Later in Long Beach Harbor. Open for breakfast and lunch, the volleyball star likes to order the omelet.

Lunch: Depending on what she's in the mood for and what day she goes, May-Treanor orders up the tuna melt or the hamburger at Tracy's Bar & Grill in Long Beach.

Lunch: When she wants seafood, May-Treanor heads to Jack Shrimp in Newport Beach where she orders the Cajun Creole shrimp and rice. "It's got a good kick to it," said May-Treanor.

Snack: When she's craving Mexican, May-Treanor heads to El Zarape, a family-run Mexican restaurant in San Diego that serves $1.50 street tacos.

Dinner: For the ultimate dinner indulgence, May-Treanor orders up the prime rib at Captain Jack's in Sunset Beach.
