I use a roll of non-skid shelf liner you buy at any "dollar store". It doesn't slide, it's washable and can be cut to the size of your favorite cutting boards. I also use it under bowls, between my teflon pans, and to get a grip on hard to open jars.

Place a damp paper towel or dishrag underneath your cutting board when chopping anything. It’ll prevent the board from slipping around.
