Stay away from the WAGYU KOBE BEEF at the MICHAEL JORDAN'S STEAKHOUSE AT MOHEGAN SUN in Connecticut. In fact, you may want to stay away from everything...as I suspect the problem lies in handling and storage of their meats in general. My wife and her best friend got very sick from eating it (on our wedding day...no less). Three days afterward, she had to have her appendix removed. According to the doctor, food had worked it's way into her appendix (via watery diarrhea) , irritated it, caused it to abcess...such as with diverticulitis), and eventually perforate. All we ever really heard back from this place was a call from their insurance company, who will, I'm sure, do nothing...which is the new scam of insurance companies. Open a claim (which we didn't file) regardless of fault and see if you come back with a lawsuit after they deny responsibility. Even then they will probably fight it. The beef was the only common denominator of what they ate the entire weekend.
Is the Wagyu Kobe beef a particular dish there at Michael's? Im very sorry for your wifes troubles I only comment here because I have in the past had great meals there, no Im not a ringer just a patron in the past. I will certanly take your story to hart that must have been awfull, Ive had food poisoning a couple times before and once it almost killed me. was lyin on the floor in my place and if an employee didnt come by to check i would not have made it
Skateboarding icon Tony Hawk is a self-proclaimed foodie and investor in the Del Mar hot spot, Market. Chef Carl Schroeder, a Michael Mina and Bradley Odgen-protégé, turns out fresh California fare such as an heirloom tomato and burrata salad with a white cheddar parmesan cheese stick, sweet white corn and creamy dill dressing. Or how about a blue cheese soufflé with Santa Rosa plums, peach preserves, butter lettuce and candied almonds? Book reservations in advance. This place fills up fast.
